Оценка влияния нестабильности состояния морского льда в прибрежной зоне на жизнедеятельность местных сообществ Северной Пацифики через призму традиционных знаний коренных народов. Изменение климата оказывает значительное воздействие на сообщества в регионе, а также на Арктику в целом. Это процессы, особенно остро происходящие в северных регионах. Рассматривается, как коренные народы Севера, живущие по обе стороны Берингова моря – от юго-западной Аляски до Дальнего Востока России, в непредсказуемой экологической среде Арктики выдерживают стремительные экологические и социальные изменения. Как такие изменения влияют на физические, биологические и социально-экономические системы.

The Impac t of Coastal Sea Ice Instability on the Livelihoods of Local Communities in the North Pacific
This study explores the impacts of coastal sea ice variability through the lens of Indigenous knowledge as well as anticipated impacts of sea ice variability on local communities in the North Pacific. Climate change is having a significant impact on coastal communities in the Arctic. These processes are especially acute in the Northern regions. This research explores how Indigenous peoples of the North, living on both sides of the Bering Sea - from southwestern Alaska to the Russian Far East, withstand rapid environmental and social changes in the unpredictable ecological environment of the Arctic and how such changes affect physical, biological and socio-economic systems.
