Children’s clothing of nomadic peoples. Age rela ted differences and features
Indigenous peoples living in cold conditions constructed the warmest, the most practical and the lightest clothing for both adults and children. The article considers the children's clothing of nomadic Chukchi according to the age categories: clothing for newborns; clothing for 3–5 years old children; teenage clothing.
They differ from each other in some details. The purpose of the article is to draw attention to the problem of the revival, preservation and development of endangered types of folk art crafts of the indigenous peoples of the Far North, the preservation of the technology of tailoring traditional children's clothing which has no analogs in its efficiency and functionality.
